BOSTON CELTICS CHAMPIONS IN ANOTHER WAY

Dr. Clyde Rivers, Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, was in Boston last weekend to pickup T-shirts and sporting gear from the Boston Celtics to aid the orphans in Burundi.

Dr. Rivers said, “We are very grateful that a high ranking organization such as the Boston Celtics have their heart in the right place.” The Boston Celtics currently have the top record in the NBA. Rivers goes on to say, “Among the youth of Burundi they are in first place as well. Any professional sports organization that looks beyond their community to help the world is truly a championship organization. The 1st Lady of Burundi’s Buntu Foundation is very thankful for the goodness of the Boston Celtics in looking beyond their borders to help the children of Burundi. We wish to extend a heart-felt, thank you.”

During Dr. Rivers’ visit to Boston, he was will taken care of by people in the Celtics Organization. They did an outstanding job to make his visit a success. Rivers said, “I was very impressed by Matt Meyersohn, Director of Community Relations. He represented the Boston Celtics in an excellent way. As an Ambassador that travels the world it is great when you deal with a professional such as Mr. Meyersohn.” Dr. Rivers also observed the hard work of Ashley Earle as she prepared the way for his visit. He said, “She treated the country of Burundi with respect, from the moment we contacted her regarding this visit, and I want to thank her.”

Dr. Paul Taylor, Top Advisor for the East Coast of America, to the Honorary Ambassador, Dr. Rivers, was very instrumental in putting this project together for the Republic of Burundi. “He worked hard making the connection with the Boston Celtics Organization. He is one of the best men I know. He has a true heart for Burundi and is putting his words into actions.” Said Rivers.
